LEONI’s Irradiation Services business unit is one of Europe’s largest service providers in the area of crosslinking and modifying plastics, sterilisation and similar applications using electron beam radiation.

At present, the Swiss site in Däniken, where around 61 people are employed, operates seven electron accelerators with a performance range of 0.5 to 10 MeV.

At present 2 other electron accelerators are operational in Bautzen on the German-Polish border. Around 30 people are employed at Bautzen.

We mainly treat plastic pipes, shrink-fit tubing, sheeting, cables and wires, as well as technical products of all kinds, modifying their material properties.
